CRENSHAW, Mattie Grant
Keowee Courier August 18, 1981, Mrs. Mattie Crenshaw, Salem--Mrs. 
Mattie Grant Crenshaw, 79, widow of Bush Whitner Crenshaw, died Friday 
at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter 
of the late Hampton and Janie Shepard Grant. She was a member of Fall 
Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Ernest Crenshaw of Taylors 
and Leland Crenshaw of Columbia; daughters, Mrs. Sallie Hurdt of 
Walhalla, Mrs. Lila Crowe of Salem, Mrs. Margie Towe of Cayce and Mrs.
Ester Alexander of Travelers Rest; a brother, Harvard Grant of Salem; 
14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 
p. m. Sunday from the chapel of Davenport Funeral Home, conducted by 
the Revs. P. G. Rampey, Roy R. Littleton and Clyde Crenshaw. Burial 
was in the Fall Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
