CROWE, Irene Sloan 
(1902-1979) Keowee Courier July 11, 1979, Salem---Irene Sloan Crowe, 
76, of Route 2, widow of Edgar Crowe, died Thursday. She was a retired 
textile employee and a member of Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are 
daughters, Lorna McAlister of Walhalla, Alma Owens of West Union, 
Gladys Burrell of Salem and Dorothy Tarrent of Seneca; a brother, J. 
C. Sloan of Easley; sisters, Marjorie Crowe of Newberry and Marie 
Campbell of Salem; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 
Services were Friday at Salem Baptist Church with burial in Salem 
United Methodist Church cemetery. Davenport Funeral Home was in charge.
