He was born in Rabun County, Ga., a son of the late Leander and Sarah Jane RAMEY RAMEY. He was a retired textile employee and owner and operator of RAMEY Corn Mill. He was a Baptist. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Anna Lee RAMEY of the home; sons, Ed RAMEY of Westminster, Logan and Pate RAMEY of Anderson; daughter, Mrs. Estelle RICHEY of Anderson; sisters, Mrs. Essie CARVER of Westminster and Mrs. Bessie WILBANKS of Anderson; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. Monday at Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Revs. John MCKNIGHT and Alvin CROOKS. Burial in the church cemetery. The body is at Sandifer Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Monday.
