Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the Rev. T. B. and Bessie BURTON BUTTS. She was a charter member of Westminster Emmanuel Holiness Church. Survivors include sons, Donnie A. and Jerry BUCHANON of Westminster; daughters, Mrs. Brenda SHEDD and Mrs. Bobby Jean SMITH of Seneca; brothers, the Rev. Harold J. BUTTS of Greenville, Earl and Edward BUTTS of Westminster and Jim BUTTS of Fuquay, N.C.; sisters, Mrs. Alpha BUTTS of Westminster, Mrs. Ines HOLLINGSWORTH of Piedmont, Mrs. Vera Mae PURDY pf Townville, Mrs. Louise LEWIS, Mrs. Eleanor WATSON, and Mrs. Ruthe BRACKETT, all of Seneca, Mrs. Ann SMITH of Travis AFB, Calif., and Mrs. Shirley TAYLOR of Westminster. Services will be announced later by Sandifer Funeral Homes. The body will be at the home of Mrs. BUTT's parents, on Long Creek Highway, Tuesday.
