SHEAD, Hubert
Hubert Shead, 55, of Oakway community, died Tuesday, after a long 
illness. Born in Stephens County, GA., son of the late John Allison 
and Nancy Holbrooks Shedd, he was a former textile employee and a 
member of Full Gospel Temple in Seneca. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. 
Lou Frances Black Shedd; eight sons, Charles Shedd of Fair Play, 
Alfred and Jerry Shedd of Seneca, Fred Shedd of West Union, Hershel 
Shedd of Anderson. Clyde, Ricky and Hubert Shedd Jr. of the home; four 
daughters, Mrs. Doris Owens of Seneca, Mrs. Martha Dodgens of Norfolk, 
Va., Miss Cindy Shedd of the home; a brother John Shedd of Aiken; five 
sisters, Mrs. Annie Lawson of Seneca, Mrs. Thronie Smith of Walhalla, 
Mrs. Myrtie Dove of Carlton, Ga., Mrs. Ollie Thomas of Jacksonville, 
N. C. and Mrs. Romie Royster of Townville; 26 grandchildren. Services 
were held Friday at Full Gospel Temple, Seneca. (died January 
1975…obit found in Keowee Courier dated January 22, 1975). Contributed
