(1904-1969) Keowee Courier March 19, 1969, Funeral services for Judge D. Abbott, 64, who died Monday in Chicago, Ill., were conducted Saturday at Davenport Funeral Home by the Rev. Theus W. Rogers. Burial was in Coneross Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Elliott, Lester Litesey, J. C. Abbott, Keith Alexander, E. C. Dubose and Bill Singleton. Mr. Abbott was born in Oconee county, son of Jay Davis and Lula Blanchett Abbott, and was a railroad clerk. He lived in Chicago 15 years. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Guy (Thode) Elliott of Walhalla, Mrs. Caleb (Florine) Jaynes of Morganton, NC, Mrs R. B. (Grace) Squire of San Diego, Calif., and Miss Lena A. Abbott of Washington, D. C.
