A. Barber Rites Conducted Mrs. Hattie Bookout Barber, 71, widow of O. A. Barber, died Friday morning. A resident of Westminster, she was a native of Cleveland County, N. C., and daughter of the late B. C. and Mary Harden Bookout. She was a member of the Westminster Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lola Medlin and Mrs. Lillie Mae Hunnicutt of Seneca, Mrs. Maude Simpson of Cornelia, Ga., and Mrs. Ruth Adams of Greenville; two brothers, Vester L. and Lloyd Bookout of Burlington, N. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Delores Honner of Burlington and Mrs. Stella Turney of Gaffney; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Westminster Baptist Church by Rev. W. L. Reames and Rev. J. P. Stokes. Burial followed in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. J. England, Molgro England, Willie Ramey, Joe Morris, Bill Hughes and David Crenshaw.
