A native of Mountain Rest, she lived there until one year ago when she moved to the Cheohee community near Salem. She was a daughter of the late J. L. and Ada Craine Fretwell and a member of Village Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother, Bry Fretwell of Salem; and four sisters, Mrs. Ray Hunter of Cashiers, N. C., Miss Rhoda Fretwell of Pickens, Mrs. Maude Harshaw of Charleston and Mrs. Grace Matthews of Melbourne, Fla. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Cheohee Baptist Church by Rev. R. R. Littleton. Burial was in the church cemetery.
