Wed. Feb 16, 1955 Windfield Marshall, 77, of Coffee Road, Westminster, died at the Oconee Memorial hospital Monday night. He had been in declining health several years and seriously ill about two weeks. Mr. Marshall was born in Anderson county March 3, 1877, but spent most of his life in Oconee. He was a son of the late Frank (should be Brink) and Corrie Patterson Marshall, and a member of the Beaverdam Baptist church at Fair Play. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Ada Cleveland Marshall; the following children, Waymon Marshall, of Lavonia, Ga; Mrs. Annie Mae Brock; and Miss Fannie Lee Marshal of the home; Bill Marshall, Mrs Benny Carter, and Mrs. Woodrow Leopard, all of Westminster. He also leaves five sisters. Mrs. Lula Teasley, of Anderson, Mrs. Annie Grant of Townville, Mrs. Mrs. Jennie Patterson, and Mrs. Corrie Simmons, both of Anderson, and Mrs Rittie Rousey, of Westminster; also 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were help from the Beaverdam Baptist church at Fair Play Wednesday. The Rev. Clarence Farmer and the Rev. Jack Funderburk officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Albert, Clarence, and Howard Smith, Horace Lee, L.L. Wilbands, and Jimmy Rogers.
