PATTERSON, James Edward 
(1951-1951) Keowee Courier January 3, 1952 Patterson Child Dies At 
Hospital Final rites were conducted Thursday from the Mount Carmel 
Baptist church at Jocasssee for the little James Edward Patterson, 
six-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Patterson. The child died at 
Oconee Memorial Hospital Tuesday night after an illness of four days. 
The Rev. Roy Patterson and The Rev. William Holcombe officiated at 
final rites and burial followed in the church cenetery. The parents 
are resident of Jackson, but formerly resided near Salem. In additon 
to the parents, the child is survived by two sisters, Mary Lee and 
Martha Jean Patterson; one brother, Henry Patterson; the paternal 
grandmother, Mrs. Grace Patterson of Salem and the maternal 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Tucker of Salem. Contributed by:
