ABBOTT, Alma Moore (1906-1947) Keowee Courier, Mrs. Harold Abbott, 
40, the former Miss Alma Moore, died of a heart ailment Monda at the 
Oconee hospital. She had been in declining health several years. She 
was a daughter of Mrs. Rosa Moore and the late Richard F. Moore, and 
had been a resident of Seneca all her life, except for a few years 
spent in Walhalla. Surviving are her husband, her mother and several 
brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at Ann Hope Methodist
church at Lonsdale at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. R. C. 
Emory, assisted by the Rev. H. O. Walker. Burial was in Mountain View 
cemetery. Active pallbearers were the following brothers-in-law: J. 
A. Knox, Harry Smith, Martin Abbott, Harvey Williams, J. F. Davis and 
Elyess Abbott. Honorary pallbearers were A. C. Brown, G. N. Whitt, 
Lewis Pressley, Winder Gary, J. T. James and Hubert Thompkins.
