Leonard Keowee Courier November 21, 1946, J. Leonard Lee, Funeral services were conducted Monday morning for J. Leonard Lee, 71, well-known and prominent Oconee county farmer, who died at his home in the Zion community Saturday morning. Officiating at final rites were the Rev. J. Claude Evans, pastor of St. Luke Methodist Church, and the Rev. Ben M. Clark, pastor of the St. John Lutheran church. Burial was in the Neville cemetery. Nephews served as pall-bearers. They were Bill Fitzgerald, Hugh Ross, Wade Ross, Jess Ross, Carl Prather, and Horace Lee. Flower-bearers were Frances Gillespie, Norma Davis, Elizabeth Colley, Della Fitzgerald, Betty Compton, Mrs. Horace Covington and Mrs. Henry Wells. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Toccoa Abbott Lee; five daughters, Mrs. J. W. Ray, Mrs. John J. Brandt, Miss Lila Lee, Mrs. Robert Dilworth, and Miss Jean Lee; two sons, Luther and Ray Lee; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Fitzgerald, Mrs. Lucy Ross, and Miss Fannie Lee; and three grandchildren.
