Cooper (d. Jan 1942) Keowee Courier January 8, 1942 E. M. Cooper, 53 Dies in Shiloh Community E. M. Cooper, 53, died at his home in the Shiloh community early Thursday morning after two years of declining health. He was a native of Pickens county but had lived in Oconee for 25 years. He was a member of Corinth Baptist church, and so long as his health premitted was an active church worker. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Collie Abbott Cooper; four sons, Sloan, James, Charles, and Franklin; four daughters, Mrs. John Hall, and Misses Fannie May, Ollie, and Gladys Cooper; five brothers, William, Silas, Robert, Jeff, and Mack Cooper; one sister, Mrs. Emma Holden; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from Corinth Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. J. H. Tannery and the Rev. Elmore Bowen. Interment was in the church cemetery.
