EDNEY, Frances McConnell 
(1917-1939) Keowee Courier May 5, 1939 Funeral services were held from 
Salem Baptist Church Sunday at 11 a. m. for Mrs. Frances Edney, 22, 
who died Saturday at her home in the Wolf Stake community. The rites 
were conducted by the Rev. Bruce Littleton, and interment was in the 
Salem Methodist Church cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Edney are her husband,
Doyle Edney, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. McConnell, and three 
sisters, Mrs. Lester Parham, Misses Lorene and Marjories McConnell; 
four brothers, Carl, Cecil, Albert and George McConnell and her 
paternal grandfather, J. C. McConnell. Contributed by: Susan
