(1859-1939) Keowee Courier March 23, 1939 William E. Albertson, 79-year-old retired farmer, died at the home of his son, A. L. Albertson, at Salem Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Mr. Albertson was a well known citizen of the county, and held in high esteem by a wide circle of relatives and friends. He was a life-long resident, and a devoted member of the Salem Baptist Church. Surviving him are six sons, Alex, J. L., G. M. Henry, Clarence and Garcie Albertson, all of Oconee county. Funeral services were held from the Salem Baptist Church Saturday afternoon with the Rev. R. W. McKinney conducting the service. Interment was in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.
