ABBOTT, Allison Eugene (1863-1932) Keowee Courier, FORMER OCONEE MAN 
PASSES IN HARTSVILLE, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. White and Miss Katie Abbott 
went to Hartsville Sunday on account of the death of their uncle, Mr. 
A. E. Abbott. Mr. Abbott died in Hartsville Saturday after a long 
illness and his body was buried at 10 o'clock Monday morning. He was 
twice married and leaves his wife and several children. Mr. Abbott was
a native of Oconee and had lived in the Coneross section when a young 
man. He married Miss Lela Cobb fifty years ago, and she died about ten 
years later. He was a brother of the late Marshall Abbott of 
Westminster and the late Warren Abbott of Spartanburg, and he was 69 
years old his last birthday. He was a man of clever, genial 
disposition and all who knew him sorrow at his passing and extend
