Patterson Good Woman Called To Her Reward After Brief Illness Earle's Grove, Feb 23, --Special: Our community was saddened on Thursday evening, February ___, when the news came that Mrs. Lina Cole Patterson, wife of John A Patterson was dead. She was sick only about 24 hours. All was done that loving hands could do, but God saw best to call her home. Mrs. Patterson was laid to rest at Earle's Grove cemetery on Saturday afternoon folowing. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. Chapman, of Townville. She was one of the first members of this church. Mrs. Patterson will be greatly missed in the church work, as she ws always present, doing all she could to please her Master. She was at church on Sunday before her death being organist and playing for the service. Mrs. Patterson was one of the most useful women among the sick always ready to lend a helping hand. She had a kind word and a bright smile for every one. To know her was to love her. Surely a good woman has gone to her reward. Besides her husband she leaves several brothers and sisters to mourn her death, these being Mrs. C.W. Patterson, Mrs. R.L.Patterson, Mrs. Sam Grant: Miss Alice Cole and Willie Cole, of this community, Hilery and Jessie Cole of Anderson, Mrs. George Elrod of Belton, and Mrs. Maude Crooks of Greenville. The bereaved family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community. It has been only a short time since the death of their aged mother, Mrs. Cole. May God bless them in their hour. A Freind.
