Thomas 43, who were burned to death in their South Union community home at 1:30 this morning, will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the graveside in the South Union Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Alton Young will be in charge. Mrs. Thomas, who was a life long resident of this community and a member of South Union Baptist Church as was her son. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Crawford of Oconee Co. Her husband W.L. Thomas preceded her to the grave six years ago. Mrs. Thomas is survived by one son, Hoyt Thomas of Townville and 3 daughters, Mrs. S.W. Shirley of Seneca, Mrs. E.F. Land of South Union Community and Mrs. B.C. Boylston of Newport News, VA. One sister, Mrs. Tom Marrett. Mr. Thomas who was a farmer and unmarried. Active pallbearers for the double funeral will be: Claude Burriss, Fred Anderson, Walt Bleckley, Walt Gibson, Mark Harris and Ottie Burriss. The bodies will remain at the McDougald-Hicks Funeral Home until the hour of service.
