Mrs. Sara Smith Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Acker Smith 24, wife of 
R. Dean Smith of Westminster who died at the home of her parents, Mr. 
And Mrs. J.O. Acker of Gossett St, Anderson Saturday at 12:05 pm were 
held from the Riverside Baptist Church yesterday. Burial was in 
Silverbrook Cemetery, Anderson. Mrs. Smith died after an illness of 
several weeks. She was born and reared in Anderson and made her home 
in this city before going to Westminster to live about two and half 
years ago. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. In addition 
to her husband, survivors include; one son, Roy Frederick Smith of 
the home. Her parents Joe and Cora Bannister Acker, two brothers; 
Ralph and Grady Acker of Anderson, two sisters: Mrs. Bill Shaw and 
Mrs. Malcolm Brown of Anderson and Her maternal grandmother, Mrs. L.E. 
Bannister. McDougald-Johnston Funeral Home in charge. Contributed by
