Mrs. J. F. Crumpton Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Allen Crumpton 66, who died Sunday, wife of James F. " Jim" Crumpton of Rowland Street will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm at Calvary Baptist church in Salem by the Rev. Henry Pelfrey, Rev. Davie Wilson, and the Rev. J.C. Farmer. Burial in Salem Methodist Church cemetery. She was born in Salem, daughter of the late Joseph Wiley and Sallie (Heaton) Allen and was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Seneca. Surviving are two sons, Clyde A. and Bill of Walhalla, four daughters, Mrs. Junior (Louise) Jams, Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Oakley, and Mrs. Johnnie (Shelby Jean) Medlin of West Union and Mrs. Eugene (Aileen) Moore of Westminster. Two bothers, Jess Allen of West Union and Henry Allen of Frostproof, FL. A sister Mrs. Janie Dunbar of Cashiers, NC. 18 grandchildren and 2 gggrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lloyd and Virgil Allen, Edward, Seaborn, and J.B. Crumpton, Ralph Lusk, Revelle Rochester and Fletcher Dunbar, Jr. Davenport Funeral Home, Walhalla is in charge.
