TITLE: Jordan Burns SOURCE: The Keowee Courier SUBMITTED BY: Mary L. Cawthon FORMATTED BY: Kim Grissom, Jun 2003 *********************************************************************** BURNS, Jordan ORDAN, We regret to announce the death of Mr. Jordan Burns, a respected citizen of the Fork township, of the County, which occurred at his residence on last Friday night from dropsy of the heart, resulting from an attack of pleurisy, which has confined him to his bed for several weeks. Mr. Burns was, at the time of his death, sixty seven years of age, and by his upright and genial conduct through life had established himself in the friendship and esteem of his neighbors and acquaintances, who sympathize with his family in the bereavement they are called upon to bear. On Sunday afternoon the deceased was interred in the Townville Baptist Church yard, after appropriate and feeling funeral services. Mr. Burns was a good man, and in his death a kind neighbor and useful citizen has been removed from earth. (Mr. Jordan Burns died on November 15, 1878). Contributed by Mary L.
