Name: Edger C. Pettigrew

Died: Saturday, March 29th, 2003 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre.
Occupation: Landscape gardener for 37 years in the Edgewood section, operating 
Valley Ridge Nursery.  He also worked as a greenhouse manager for the botany 
department at URI for five years, retiring in 1973.
Husband of Violet M, (Gill) Pettigrew.
Son of the late Newton I. and Annie (Keller) Pettigrew, Pawtucket.
Survivors: Two sons; Edgar G. Pettigrew and Ralph F. Pettigrew; eight 
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Ralph N., Norman K., Kenneth W., and Talbot R. 
Pettigrew.
Services: March 31, 2003, in Juhlin-Pearson Chapel, 754 Broad St., Providence.
Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Johnston
