For the last two years of his life, he was a patient at Genesis Elder Care in Salisbury, Md. Mr. Metz was born in Lincoln, the son of George A. Metz Sr. and Ruth Edmonson. He was a graduate of Milford High School and attended the University of Delaware. He worked for his family poultry business until 1965, at which time he moved to Rehoboth Beach. He then managed the Sea Esta Motel 1 in Dewey Beach until 1986. He enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and photography. He will be sadly missed by many. No services or memorial will be held at this time. --------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Ann Warner * Mary Ann Warner, 76, of Rehoboth Beach and formerly of Easton, Md., died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at home. Mrs. Warner was born Nov. 7, 1926 in Trappe, Md., the daughter of the late James and Katherine Bildstein Emerson. She attended public school in Talbot County, Md., graduating in 1942. In 1951, she married Robert K. Warner; they made their home in Easton. Mr. Warner died in 1972. Mrs. Warner worked as a clerk for C '&;' P Telephone Co. for more than 19 years, retiring in 1990. Mrs. Warner was a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Easton. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Shawn Warner, in 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Chris Martin of Rehoboth Beach; a son, Steve Warner of Allentown, Pa.; a brother, James Emerson of Boston; a sister, Katherine Emerson of Easton; and four grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Jessica and Kaytlin. Services were held at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Easton, with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton.
