(DADE) HYLE * Marguerite D. (Dade) Hyle, age 79, of Millville, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. She was born in Baltimore the daughter of the late Virgil J. and Katherine Roach Dade. Mrs. Hyle and her husband moved to the Millville area in 1990 from Baltimore. She was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bethany Beach. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She loved people, loved to entertain and enjoyed singing. She is survived by her husband William Hafey Hyle, Sr.; three daughters: Kathleen M. Hyle of Rochester, N.H.; Margie (Hyle) McLean of Baltimore; and Elizabeth (Hyle) Barbarisa of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons: William Hafey Hyle Jr. of Baltimore and Michael Hyle of Sea Ranch Lakes, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Route 26, Bethany Beach, at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3, with Fr. David F. Kelley officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Delaware Veterans Cemetery South near Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Ann's Mission Church Fund, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, 19930. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, Route 26 and Route 17, Clarksville. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAUD(HICKMAN) MURRAY * Maud (Hickman) Murray, age 84, of Frankford, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, from injuries sustained in a Nov. 15 vehicular accident. Her husband of 65 years, James R. Murray, survives her. The Murrays raised chickens over the years and also drove busses for the Indian River School District. Mrs. Murray was a member of Roxana Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Mattie Bishop Hickman and two brothers, Ollie Jr. and William Kelly, all of Bayard. Other survivors include daughters, Bernice M. Godfrey and husband James and Barbara Jane Furman, all of Wilmington, grandchildren Stephen Furman of Wilmington, Tamatha Olewinski and Scott Godfrey, both of Bear and Lisa Lyons of Chadds Ford, Pa.; siblings Violet Rickards and Elisha Hickman, both of Bayard, Donald Hickman of Dover, Delmus Hickman of Ocean View, Jack Hickman of Bethany Beach, and Janis Burbage of Smith Island, Md. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Thatcher Street in Frankford, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Mariner's Bethel Cemetery in Ocean View. Flowers and/or donations may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's Delaware Chapter at 100 W. 10th St., Suite 209, Wilmington, De. 19801. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHARLES HENRY STATTEL * Charles Henry Stattel, age 72, of Ocean View, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born in Kings Park, N.Y., the son of the late Valentine Stattel and Muriel Shay Stattel. He was a graduate of Kings Park High School and Rennselear Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. Prior to retirement, he was a metallurgical engineer for Bethlehem Steel Corp., and Signode Steel Corp. He is survived by daughters, Judith A. Adams of Richmond, Va., Jane M. Henry and Joyce M. Curry, both of Allentown, Pa., John V. Stattel of McHenry, Ill., and Charles H. Stattel Jr. of Allentown, Pa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. Services will be private. Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services of Ocean View. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RAYMOND "BUDDY RAY" TIMMONS * Raymond E. "Buddy Ray" Timmons, age 94, of Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro and formerly of Dagsboro, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born in Dagsboro, the son of the late John A. Timmons and Emma Downs Timmons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline M. Timmons, in 1973. He is survived by his caregiver, Franklin Timmons, and several nieces and their families. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, at noon at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Thatcher Street in Frankford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Millsboro Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOHN P. GREISH * John P. Greish, 83, of Lewes, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002 in the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. of natural causes, He was the husband of the late Madalynn R. Reitz Greish, who died in 1994. Born in Lebanon on May 16, 1919, he was the son of the late John and Mary Greish. He was the founder of Cut Rate Roofing Supply Co. in Harrisburg, Pa. He was past president of Kracko Hunting & Fishing Club, a member of Cape Henlopen Senior Center and a third degree and life member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by three children: daughter Mary Louise and her husband John Marinack of York, Pa., son John M. Greish of Fredericksburg, Pa. and son Richard A. Greish and his wife Amy of Harrisburg, Pa. He is also survived by four brothers: Frank Greish of Milwaukee; Martin Greish and Nick Greish of Lebanon, Pa.; Joseph Greish of San Francisco; one sister: Mary Peters of Lebanon, Pa.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Greish. Funeral services are slated for Saturday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, Pa.
