She was 65. Mrs. Chopp was born in Lewes, daughter of the late Habrick Hoyt Hill and Elizabeth Marshall Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great- grandfather, John Penrose Virden; a brother, Michael A. Hill; her first husband, Gordon M. Weiner; and her second husband, Joseph S. Chopp. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Dan Hauschild of Bloomfield, N.J. and Sarah and Mark Meggison of Wake Forest, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth H. and Robert Messick of Milford; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth H. Hill of Lewes; five grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Lily, Daniel and Elizabeth; three nieces; and a nephew. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes. Services will be noon Thursday in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Second Street, Lewes. Burial will be private. Box 464, Lewes, DE 19958 or Delaware Hospice, Southern Division, 600 Dupont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Jerry Rys, 78 DOVER - Jerry Rys of Dover died Friday, May 23, 2003, in his home after a lengthy illness. He was 78. Mr. Rys was born in New York City, son of the late William and Marie Krontil Rys. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He had served in the European Theatre. He was a partner of Retouching Inc. of New York from 1963 to 1972 at which time he ventured on is own with his photo-finishing laboratory in Ramsey, N.J., until his retirement in 1977. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Dover. Mr. Rys was a Master Gardener with Delaware Cooperative Extension Service and rendered teaching instructions throughout the area. In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elissa Ann Rys of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara Rys of Chester, N.Y.; a stepson, Richard Nowatski of Ventura, Calif.; a granddaughter, Samantha Rys; two great- grandchildren, Mark and Alexis Barber of Middletown, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South State Street, Dover. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. The family suggests donations in his memory to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. Arrangements by Michael J.
