He was 66. Mr. Alexander was born in Golts, son of the late Joseph Leonard Sr. and Myrtle Rausch Alexander. He worked for Island Arabian Inc., Warwick. He was a horseman. Mr. Alexander loved to garden, loved tractors and horses, and loved his dog, Megan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian G. Alexander, on Dec. 15, 2002. He is survived by three sons, Joseph E. Alexander of St. Georges, Del., Norman L. Alexander of Golts and Rocky Alexander of St. Georges; two daughters, Rosemary Mosley of Dover, Del., and Lynn Husfelt of Warwick; two brothers, Norman A. Alexander of Townsend, Del., and Robert H. Emory of Harrington died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, in his home. He was 37. Mr. Emory was born Sept. 21, 1965, in Dover, son of Rita (Petrodich) Emory of Lincoln and the late Richard Emory. He attended school in the Lake Forest School District until moving to Florida, where he graduated from Dunnellon High School. He earned his associate's degree in architectural engineering technology from Delaware Technical '&;' Community College's Terry Campus, Dover. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Maygen Emory of Yankeetown, Fla.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rick and Jo Ann Emory of Felton and Scott Emory of Lincoln; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and James Gagliardi of Greenwood; two nieces, Missy Meadows and Rachel Emory; a nephew, Rick Emory Jr.; and many other relatives and friends. Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Raymond Boyd Metler Sr., 85 HARBESON - Raymond Boyd Metler Sr. of Harbeson and formerly of Upper Marlboro, Md., died of natural causes Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Harbor Healthcare, Lewes. He was 85. Mr. Metler was born in Washington, D.C., son of the late David F. and Nellie B. Plager Metler. He was an electrician with Local 26 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for more than 40 years, retiring in 1979. Mr. Metler was a member of Mary, Mother of Peace, Catholic Church, Millsboro, and the Knights of Columbus; was a former treasurer of the Sussex County Democratic Club; was a former Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America; was involved in Special Olympics; and was a member of the Association for the Rights of Citizens with Mental Retardation (formerly the Association for Retarded Citizens). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve M. Conroy Metler, on Nov. 19, 2002. He is survived by two daughters, Helen V. Cervenka of Bowie, Md., and Mary G. Adams of Harbeson; six sons, Raymond Boyd Metler Jr. of Duncan, S.C., Robert M. Metler of Dunkirk, Md., William J. Metler of Tallahassee, Fla., Charles D. Metler of Huntingtown, Md., James P. Miller, in 1997; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers; and four sisters.
