She was 65. Mrs. Taylor was born Jan. 26, 1938, to Kathleen Brophy Parkinson of Roskelton, Ireland and the late Joseph Parkinson. She was raised in Southend-on- Sea, England. She married Rick Taylor on Aug. 19, 1961. She followed him throughout his Air Force career to bases in Texas, Japan, Louisiana, California, England and Delaware. She worked many jobs, including at WKEN Radio and at the Social Security Administration in Dover from 1979 until her retirement in November 1995. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed reading, traveling, eating dessert and spending time with her family, close friends and her dog, China. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Kiah Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Rick, of Camden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Marc Alei of Sacramento, Calif. and Donna and Frank Magana of Layton, Utah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Jeanne Taylor of Laurel and Kiah and Charlene Taylor of Dover; a sister, Mary Phelan; four brothers, Patrick, Martin, Edward and John Parkinson, all of County Laois, Ireland; six grandchildren, Jayson and Bryan Magana, Heather, Richard and Andrew Taylor and Ashley Graham; and a lifelong friend and companion, Nell Banks. Memorial services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier. Cacy, 83 BALTIMORE - Anna Marie H. Cacy of Baltimore died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in her home. She was 83. Ms. Cacy was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Sudlersville, daughter of the late Francis and Bertha Showacre Cacy. She worked as a detail clerk for Aberdeen Proving Ground from 1942 to 1955, and for C'&;'P Telephone in the customer assistance department, retiring in the 1980s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Stevens and Elizabeth Sutton. She is survived by a niece, Anita Williams of Betteron, and a nephew, Robert Sutton of Stewartstown, Pa. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Still Pond Cemetery, Still Pond. Schaech, Galena. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Charles Allen Delp Sr., 65 PORT DEPOSIT, Md. - Charles Allen Delp Sr. of Port Deposit died Friday, May 9, 2003, in his home. He was 65. Mr. Delp was born May 14, 1937, in Delta, Pa., son of the late Eve Mae Puegh Delp Richardson and Carl Jefferson Delp Sr. He was a Korean War veteran and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. He moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland in 1962, where he was the president of Charles A. Delp Manholes and Masonry Construction Inc. He moved to the Eastern Shore in 1974, where he owned a custom combining and masonry business. He also was the owner/operator of his own tractor-trailer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was taking music lessons a the time of his death. Mr. Delp was a member of the American Legion Post 29, Denton, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 14000 and the North American Hunting Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Orpha (Kiser) Delp on Nov. 23, 1998. They were married on Nov. 30, 1957. He is survived by a son, Charles A. Delp Jr. of Henderson; two daughters, Anita Watson of Henderson and Chanda Delp of Hartly, Del.; four brothers, Carl Delp Jr. of Henderson, Johnny Delp of Winter Haven, Fla., Bobby Delp and Roger Delp, both of Pennsylvania; a sister, Alma P. Baldwin of Hanover, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Yeager, Carrie Ann Yeager, Leslie Ann Yeager, Jessie Lynn Delp, Charles A. Delp III, William Edward Delp, Kelly Nicole Watson and Brian Watson; three great-grandchildren, Lily Mae McNaught, William Nathaniel Willis and Taylor Nichol Collazo. Hawk of Milton, formerly of Downingtown, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 73. Mrs. Hawk was born March 7, 1930, in Lower Merion Township, Pa., daughter of the late John and Anna Smith Harbison. She graduated from Radnor High School in 1948. She was employed by the Apple Basket Gift Shop and by Dr. Eric Schneider before retiring to Delaware. Mrs. Hawk enjoyed being with her family and friends and her cat and dog. She liked gardening and antique collecting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Norman L. Hawk, in 1998 and a brother, Jack Harbison. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Steven Hawk; two grandchildren, Stephen and Shannon; a sister, Jeannette Erskin of Mohnton, Pa. and a cousin, Joan Bachman of Rehoboth Beach. Short of Millsboro died Sunday, May 11, 2003, surrounded by her family. She was 80. Mrs. Short retired from Sterwin Laboratories in 1983. She was a member of the Oak Orchard Community Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 7422. She was also a charter member of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Pearl F. Spicer; her husband, Charles W. Short Jr., and a brother, Lawrence C. Spicer. Truax, 84 SMYRNA - James C. Truax of Smyrna died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Capitol Health Center, Dover. He was 84. Mr. Truax was born Nov. 13, 1918, in Smyrna, son of the late James S. and Margaret Jones Truax. He was a Class of 1938 graduate of John Bassett Moore High School in Smyrna. Mr. Truax was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and participated in the Italian campaign, Anzio and North Africa. He worked as the manager for Diamond Supply Company in Smyrna for 25 years and retired from the town of Smyrna after 10 years of service. Mr. Truax had been a member of Citizens Hose Company 1 since 1940 and was a past chief, past president and special life member. He served on the board of directors for several years. He also served on many county and state fire associations and helped organize the training program for firefighters and was its first instructor before the Delaware State Fire School opened. He also was the first volunteer Fire Marshall in the State of Delaware. Mr. Truax was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8801 annd the American Legion David C. Harrison Post 14, both in Smyrna, a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna and was active in the Kent County Democratic Party. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, J. Fletcher Truax and a sister, Gladys T. Williams. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Scott Truax; a son, David J. Truax of Dover; and a sister, Jeanne T. Carson of Smyrna. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier. Tyndall of Seaford died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. He was 82. Mr. Tyndall graduated from Georgetown High School, enlisted in the Naval Reserves, transferred to the ROTC program at the University of Delaware, attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, then graduated from the University of Delaware, from which he received degrees in both civil engineering and electrical engineering. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Tyndall was a civil engineer for the Delaware State Highway Department, the Eighth Air Force Headquarters at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, Mass., and the Veterans Administration in Martinsburg, W.Va., retiring in 1983. Mr. Tyndall was a member of the American Legion, Hiram Lodge 21, AF'&;'AM, Seaford, Hope Chapter, Joppa Council, Delaware Consistory, Nur Temple (charter member) and was a lifetime member of the "Top of the World Masonic Club," Thule, Greenland. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Agnes Cordrey Tyndall; a son, Gary C. Tyndall of Fairbanks, Alaska; a daughter, Sharon Tyndall of West Lebanon, N.H.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N.
