Elmond 'Dude' Gray Jr., 80 MILLSBORO - W. Elmond "Dude" Gray Jr., of Millsboro, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in his home. He was 80. Mr. Gray was born in Dagsboro, son of the late William Elmond Sr. and Marguerite Hickman Gray. He was a self-employed farmer. He had also been a service man for Collins and Ryan Gas Co. in Millsboro for many years. Mr. Gray was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in millsboro. He is survive dby his wife of 52 years, Lillian A. Gray; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deanna H. and Darryl McCabe, of Wilmington, and Ruth Ann Justice of Dagsboro; four grandchildren and their spouses, Terri and Kevin Smith, Clark and Tracey McCabe, Cindy and Rob Collins, and Todd McCabe; and eight great- grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Dr. James C. Van Der Wall will officiate. Burial will be in the Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery, Dagsboro. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Plummer, 69 WORTON, Md. - Thomas W. Plummer, of Worton, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in Kent '&;' Queen Anne's Hospital, Chestertown. He was 69. Mr. Plummer was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Chestertown, son of the late Lambert and Dorothy Edwards Plummer. He had worked as a truck driver for David Bramble and Tuck Davidson. Mr. Plummer loved his grandchildren, fixing lawnmowers, Friday night card games and the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Plummer. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joan Thompson Plummer; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Cheryl Plummer, of Galena; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeremiah Leader, of Worton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elizabeth Erisman, of Baltimore, and Mary and George Johnson, of Chestertown; two grandchildren, Kyle and Cassandra Plummer; and several nieces and nephews. West, of Dover, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Elsmere. He was 81. Mr. West was a Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from Hercules after 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Robin West, of Anderson, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and Alvin Lynam, of Townsend; two sisters, Charlotte Woollens of Landburge, Pa., and Jeanne Kennedy, of West Grove, Pa.; three grandchildren, six great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was 66. Mrs. White was born June 7, 1936, in Laurel, Del., daughter of the late George Clayton Whaley and Fannie Burton Lowe Whaley. She was a nurse's aide at the former Belle Haven Nursing Home, Hurlock, and had retired as a seamstress from Hurlock Sportswear. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Daniel Lee White; five children, Michael Lee White, Steve Curtis White and Alan Clayton White, all of Hurlock, Jo-Ellen W. Sampson of Trappe and Jack Richard White of Princess Anne; a sister, Jean White, of Bridgeville, Del.; a brother, Richard G. Whaley of Greensboro; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Frampton-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P.A., Federalsburg, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Derwin Lowe will officiate.
