Baker, 56 DOVER - Margaret "Peggy" H. Baker of Dover died Thursday, March 20, 2003, in her home. She was 56. Mrs. Baker was born June 1, 1946, in Vineland, N.J., daughter of Donald G. Walker and the late Helen Thurston Walker. She had lived in Delaware since 1968. She retired in 1998 after 30 years from The Delaware Division Health and Social Services as an office manager. Mrs. Baker was a member of Peoples United Church of Christ in Dover. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of almost 35 years, Robert; her step mother, Josephine of Vineland, NJ; a daughter and son- in-law, Cheryl Lynn and Jerry Del Colliano of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, John G. and Mary Walker of Flora, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Elinor Baker of Dover; a brother-in-law, Paul Baker and his wife, Jane of Reston, Va.; and three nephews and a niece. Cox of Ocean View, formerly of Trainer, Pa., died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 93. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and helped manage a mobile home park with her husband of 73 years, Martin E. Cox, Jr., who preceded her in March of 2000. She is survived by a son, Elmer M. Cox of Ocean View; two grandchildren, Brett Cox and Elaine Carey; a brother, Joe Helpa; and a sister, Blanche Thomas. She was 87. Mrs. Evans was born in Elkton, Md., daughter of the late Arthur T. and M. Etta Hobson Moffitt. She was a 1935 graduate of Smyrna High School and graduated from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va. in 1939. She retired after 30 years of teaching home economics and biology at Laurel High School. Mrs. Evans enjoyed crafts, quilt making, flea markets and yard sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Evans, in 1994; and a sister, Ruth H. Moffitt, in 1986. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Irene Moffitt and George Caley of Smyrna; a stepson, David E. Evans of Laurel; and two stepdaughters, Ann Spicer and Deborah Dolby, both of Laurel. Holahan, 73 LONGNECK - James J. Holahan of Long Neck, formerly of Philadelphia, died Thursday March, 20, 2003, in his home. He was 73. Mr. Holahan was a retired plaster and cement finisher for Local Union Eight of Philadelphia. He was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Del. 24, Oak Orchard near Millsboro. He was 45. Mr. Lineweaver was a machine operator at the Dupont Company in Seaford for 22 years. He loved all sorts of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, boating and riding his ATV. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Lineweaver was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Anita Lineweaver; a son, Coty Lane Lineweaver; his parents, Emmitt and Jeanette Lineweaver of Seaford; a brother and sister in law, Dennis and Lynn Lineweaver of Georgetown; a sister, Teresa Sellers of Greenwood; his mother and father-in-law, Jean and Larry Crowder of Seaford; and a brother-in-law, Alan L. Roy Sr. of Dover died Thursday, March 20, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 61. Mr. Roy was born Sept. 14, 1941, in Wilmington, son of Elma F. Tucker Roy of Dover and the late Joseph B. Roy Sr. He was the owner and president of Roy's Electric Services Inc. in Cheswold, which provided service to the Delaware area for 54 years. Mr. joined the Cheswold Fire Co. on Sept. 14, 1957. He served as the company's fire chief from 1963 to 1972. At that time, he was the youngest person in Delaware to be elected as a fire chief. He also served as fire recorder (1959-1960), first assistant fire chief (1962), president of the company (1974, 1984-1991 and 2000-2003), deputy fire chief (1995-1996), pension chairman (1996-1999 and 2002), vice president (1997) and trustee from (1999-2002). Mr. Roy also served on the building committee, as chairman for the new building in 1992; on the truck committee for purchasing fire engines and rescue trucks in 1964, 1978, 1984 and 1990; and most recently on the new engine committee. He was past president of the Kent County Volunteer Firemen's Association and a member of the committee that created the Kent County Emergency Dispatch Center. Mr. Roy was a named Fireman of the Year by the Delaware Volunteer Firemen's Association and placed in the organization's hall of fame in 1974. He was member of the Delaware State Fire Chief's Association and the Kent County Fire Chief's Association and had been a Delaware State Fire School instructor since 1968 Mr. Roy was also a member of the Otter Run Fish '&;' Game Club in Lycoming County, Pa., where his great love of the outdoors made him a guiding member of the organization. He was also was a member of the National Rifle Association, and Ducks Unlimited. He was preceded in death by his father in 1987. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy Pearson Roy of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, James R. Jr. and Jennifer L. Roy of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law. Trina and Tim Stump of Dover; a brother, J. Benjamin Roy Jr. of Rehoboth Beach; and four grandchildren, Ashley N. Roy and Hannah M. Roy, both of Dover, and Cody B. Hughes and Jordan E. She was 78. Mrs. Walls was born in Spalding, Lince County, England, daughter of the late Ernest Dalton and Maude Staff Dalton. She was a war bride of World War II and arrived in the United States in April of 1946. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eric and Roy Dalton, both of England. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Hampton Walls, USAR-ret.; two sons, Brian D. Walls of Glen Burnie, Md., and John Hampton Walls of Wyoming; three daughters, Donna Bobzin of Hockessin, Diane Jiles of Atlanta and Vikki Walls of Harrisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. She was 94. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Vitulli, in 1971 and her second husband, Ovide Willett in 1994. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and June Ruggiero of Laurel, Del.; a daughter and son-in-law, Corinne and Ralph Lehman of New York; a stepdaughter and her husband, Pat Willett and Tom Frey of Dagsboro, Del.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nine nieces; eight nephews; 13 great- nieces; and ten great-nephews.
