Baughman, 79 DOVER - Virginia E. Baughman of Dover died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, in her home. She was 79. Mrs. Baughman was born Oct. 6, 1923 in Craigton, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles V. Hutchison and Faye Budd Hutchison. She graduated in 1940 from Shreve High School, Shreve, Ohio. Mrs. Baughman worked for 31 years as a secretary in the federal civil service, retiring in 1986. Before retiring from the civil service she worked for 22 years as a secretary at Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge. Mrs. Baughman held all offices in her local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9962, serving as auxiliary president many times. She was past president for District 3 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She rose through the ranks in the Department of Delaware and served as department president from 1980 to 1981. She was a national council member for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Modern Maturity Center and Harvest Years. She also served as chaplain of the local chapter of NARFE. She was also a member of WSCS, Wesley Methodist Church, Dover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Baughman Sr., Sept. 17, 1973; two brothers, Glenn Hutchison and Charles J. Hutchison; and a sister, Vita Leininger. She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Baughman of Harrington, Harry "Chuck" Jr. and Marina Baughman of Des Plaines, Ill. and Terry Baughman of Dover; five grandchildren, Brian Keith Baughman and his wife Tanya of Harrington, Shawn Baughman, Monte Lee of Los Angeles, Calif., Mandy Lee and Harry C. Baughman III, both of Des Plaines; two great-grandchildren, Cody Baughman and Shawna Kohland, both of Harrington; her dear friend, Franklin Richards of Dover; a brother, Forest Hutchison; and three sisters, Lavina Funk, LaDonna Cornell and Pauline Hutchison. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2003, in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Dagenais of Millington died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 43. Mr. Dagenais was the son of Lester J. Dagenais of Rock Hall and Ida Metzger of Millington. He worked as a binder foreman for the Mercantile Press Co. in Wilmington, Del., for 17 years. Mr. Dagenais enjoyed sports and was an active league bowler, and played softball for both Austin Carpet teams. He enjoyed hunting and collecting. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed family gatherings; loving his children and eating were top priorities. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lydia V. Dagenais; two daughters, Ashley M. Dagenais and Lora L. Dagenais, both of Millington; a son, Keith A. Jacob of Madison, Tenn.; four brothers, Joseph J. Dagenais of Warren, Ohio, Ric W. Dagenais of Weare, N.H., Greg Metzger of Galena and Michael Metzger of Millington; his stepmother, Judy Dagenais of Rock Hall; and many nieces and nephews.
