Died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at age 52, in her home. She moved to Galena from Pennsylvania in 1983. Survived by her husband of 29 years, John Eckman. Locally survived by a daughter, Jill Licata of Dover; and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Edwards of Dover. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, in the Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. the evening before. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and delivered milk for the Sealtest Milk Skipton Plant for 25 years. Survived by his wife of 35 years, Joyce States. Locally survived by two children, James Leslie States and Wynette Martin, both of Marydel, and a sister, Eva Grey of Dover. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. the evening before.
