She was 73. Mrs. Coleman was born Jan. 26, 1930, in Rock Hall, daughter of the late Samuel Earl Joiner and Clara Kelly Joiner Coleman. She loved spending her days going to her grandchildren's ball games, spending time with her great-grandchildren and caring for her dog, Taffy, whom she loved dearly. Taffy became her close companion after her husband died. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Coleman, in 1998; and a son, Jim Coleman, in 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Kendall of Rock Hall; two sons, Bobby Coleman and Cliff Coleman, both of Rock Hall; a stepdaughter, Vanessa Miller of Chestertown; a sister, Mae Elburn of Easton; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a lifelong best friend, Pat Hinefelt. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home P.A., Rock Hall, where family and friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Rock Hall. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. 'Bob' Paller Sr., 59 LEWES - Joseph R. "Bob" Paller Sr. of Lewes died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday, June 26, 2003, in his home. He was 59. Mr. Paller was born and raised in Bayonne, N.J., and spent his summers in Highland Lakes, N.J. He served in the U.S. Air Force. After discharge from the Air Force, he settled down in Connecticut and, later, in Aston, Pa. He had resided in Lewes for the past six years. Over the years, he worked for various companies, such as Mead Corp. and Nordson Inc., as a packaging mechanic. Mr. Paller enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, fishing, reading, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Constance; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Julia and Tim Hulings of Middletown and Sara and Richard Loveland of Lewes; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Lynne of Newark and Andrew of Lewes; a sister, Penny Iazzetti of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren. She was 68. Mrs. Pavey was born March 5, 1935, in Okinawa, Japan. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo at various places, including Magnolia Fire Hall. She loved family, and her life revolved around them. She also enjoyed singing. Mrs. Pavey had attended Dover Air Force Base Chapel II. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Pavey, in 1985. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott E. and Gwynn Pavey of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Pavey Puspoki and Lou Puspoki of Dover; three brothers and five sisters, all of Okinawa; a sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law, all of Fawn Grove, Pa.: and five grandchildren, Logan, Maryeah, Akira, Cassandra and Gabrielle. She was 76. Mrs. Ratliff was born Feb. 10, 1927, in Mansfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Wilbur and Bertha Evis Reedy. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ratliff loved to dance to country and bluegrass music, and enjoyed flower gardening and eating out. She also enjoyed fishing and crabbing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Thomas Sr., in 1974; her second husband, Herbert Ratliff Sr., in 1978; and a son, James W. Thomas Jr., in 1974. She is survived by a son, Lawrence Thomas of Dover, Del.; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Carol Thomas of Denton, Millie and Ray Walls of Bridgeville, Del., Geraldine and John Green of Williamsport, Pa., Sherron Thomas of Ephrata, Pa., Brenda and David Janson of Ridgely and Donna and Junior Ksenich of Greensboro; a brother, Stanley Reedy of Greensboro; 28 grandchildren; 49 great- grandchildren; and her cat, Midnight. Mrs. Warner was employed at the Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach for many years. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Brett J. Warner; two sons, Taylor Brett Warner and Conner Blake Warner; her parents, Gene and Joanna Jordin of Wilmington; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and James Peiffer; a brother, Gene Jordin; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Blake; father-in-law and mother-in- law, Thomas B. Warner and Doris G. Warner; three brothers-in-law; three sisters- in-law; and 11 nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bethany Beach.
