She was 40. Ms. Fox was born May 13, 1963. She was a 10-year resident of Kent County, moving from Wilmington, Del. She received her certification as a licensed practical nurse from Delaware Technical '&;' Community College and had worked for Heron Point, Chestertown. For the past five years, she worked for Sunbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, Elkton. Ms. Fox enjoyed the beach and scrapbooking. She is survived by her life partner, Jennifer Eckman of Massey; five children, Carl Moon of Claymont, Del., and Stefani Moon, Michael Fox, Kaitlyn Fox and Sean Fox, all of the family home; five brothers, Joseph Timney and Gary Timney, both of Townsend, Del., John Timney of Middletown, Del., Marty Timney of Boothwyn, Pa., and Robert Timney of Bear, Del.; and four sisters, Karen Ross of Kentucky, Joyce Huber of Newark, Del., Lisa Nentwig of Wilmington and Anne Waddell of Claymont. Burial will be in Galena Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Gladys J. Harding, 78 LINCOLN - Gladys J. Harding of Lincoln died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at the Milford Center. She was 78. Mrs. Harding was born in Harbeson, daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Steele Calhoun. She worked for Litton Industries as an electronics technician for 10 years before retiring. Mrs. Harding enjoyed her family, reading and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Harding, in 1980. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Garbrick of Greenwood and Alice Ladd of Lincoln; a son, Jim Harding of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Jo Ann Kennard, Christina Rossi, Steve Garbrick and John Garbrick; and five great- grandchildren, Timothy Rossi, Holden Kennard, Felicia Rossi, Matthew Garbrick and Melissa Garbrick. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Florence Ann Johnson, 86 CRUMPTON, Md. - Florence Ann Johnson of Crumpton died peacefully Sunday, June 22, 2003, at the Chestertown Nursing Center. She was 86. Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Yardley, Pa. She spent most of her married life in Bucks County, Pa., and retired to Crumpton with her husband 28 years ago. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, caring for her family, animals and children. She also enjoyed family gatherings and made the best of everything. She enjoyed simple pleasures, all with a great sense of humor. She had the biggest heart, and her family will miss her very much. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and of the Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 652. She also was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Johnson; and a sister, Anna Mae. She is survived by nine children and the spouses of five, Ed and Penny Johnson, Mary Kocka, Bob and Lori Johnson, Jim and Carol Johnson, Gary and Pat Johnson, John Johnson, Betty Johnson, Fred Johnson and Donna and Herb Scott; 18 grandchildren, Ed, Joe, Jim, Barb, Ron, Jim, Krysta, Nikki, Jackie, Danny, Jim, Tammy, Jennifer, Mike, John, Jill, Samantha and Robin; five great-grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Morgan, Joey and Maggie; her siblings, Joe DeMinico, Pat DeMinico, Carmen DeMinico and Marie Garafola; and a brother-in-law and sister- in-law, Earl and Connie Johnson of Sudlersville. Kramarck Jr. of Townsend died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in his home. He was 44. Mr. Kramarck worked as a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Kramarck; a son; a stepdaughter; five sisters; his mother, Margaret; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Daniels and Hutchison, Middletown. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Margaret Ross Shepherd, 91 AYER, Mass. - Margaret Ross Shepherd of Ayer and formerly of Fitchburg, died of natural causes Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Apple Valley Continuing Care Center, Ayer. She was 91. Mrs. Shepherd was born Aug. 3, 1911, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Graham) Ross. She grew up in Clayton, Del., graduating from Smyrna (Del.) High School, and attending the University of Delaware, Newark. After her marriage, she moved to Weedsport, N.Y., where she lived until 1977, and then lived in Dover, Del., until 1995. Mrs. Shepherd was a former member of Weedsport United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Sunday school, church choir and the United Methodist Women, serving as a past president of the latter. She also was a past president of the Farm Bureau Women's Committee of Cayuga County, N.Y. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Shepherd, in 1995. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Ross and Barbara Shepherd of Shawnee, Kan., and Philip and Frances Shepherd of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Lee DeNike of Lunenburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was 80. Mr. Truitt was the son of the late Alfred Clay Truitt and Addie Rider Truitt. He grew up and went to school in Sharptown, Md. He was a supervisor in the Polymer Department of the DuPont nylon plant, Seaford. He retired in January 1981 after 40 years of service. Since retirement, he divided his time between southwestern Florida and Seaford. Mr. Truitt was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church and the Elks Lodge, Seaford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lynch Truitt; and his second wife, Thelma Wooters Truitt. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Manning Truitt; a daughter, Deborah Truitt Parker of Mililani, Hawaii; a stepson, Randy A. Manning of Newport News, Va.; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a brother, Hollis L. Truitt of Laurel; a niece; two nephews; and numerous cousins. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947; or to Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19973. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Jeanette 'Teddy' Woodall-Waters, 57 MILTON - Jeanette "Teddy" Woodall-Waters of Milton died of respiratory failure Monday, June 23, 2003, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 57. Mrs. Waters was born Jan. 18, 1946, in Exmore, Va., daughter of the late Isaac and Rachel West-Ayres. She was the youngest of 11 children. She attended school in Accomack County and graduated from Mary Smith High School. Mrs. Waters moved to Delaware and was employed at several establishments. She worked at Perdue Inc., the Lewes Convalescent Center, The Visiting Nurses Association, Jesus Is Lord Christian Academy, Georgetown, and the Sussex County Community Action Agency, where she worked until she departed this life. While at the Christian academy, she taught home economics, and worked as a child-care aide and as a culinary engineer. She was married to William Waters Sr., and from that union, four children were born. She later married John Woodall. She was an individual with unconditional love, raising her children and often caring for other children, as well. She would often be heard saying, "They don't make children like they used to." She touched the lives of all who came into contact with her. She persevered in times of adversity and was the type of lady that "took a lickin' and kept on tickin'." She was a wonderful cook. She was often praised for her delectable sweet-potato pies and sock-it-to-me cake by all. Mrs. Waters was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Virginia for several years, and sang in the choir. She was an active member of Jesus Is Lord Church of Deliverance, where she served well. She functioned on the Hospitality and Pastor's Aide Committee, also. She took great pride and much joy in her duties at Jesus Is Lord Church of Deliverance. She is survived by three children, William Waters Jr., Maxine Williams and Bryant Waters; a daughter-in-law, Andrea Waters; a son-in-law, Gordon Williams; eight grandchildren, Tyrone Jones, Emmanuel Waters, Emerald Waters, Cynea Sample, Jocelyn Sample, Genise Logan, Jonathan Williams and Taylor Waters; three sisters, Lilly Ayres-Beckett, Lois Ayres-Wyatt and Magdalene Ayres-Brisco; two brothers, Joseph Ayres and Milton Ayres; 28 nieces and nephews; cousins; and a host of friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jesus Is Lord Church of Deliverance, Georgetown, where friends may call two hours earlier. Pastor Bonnie Bigelow will officiate.
