In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Courtland H. Gaulke, in 1993; and a twin sister. She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was 82. Mr. Beck was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Piney Neck, son of the late Charles Wesley and Helen Burgess Beck. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945. A lifelong resident of Rock Hall, he worked as a waterman for the majority of his life. Mr. Beck was a member of Sgt. Preston Ashley American Legion Post 228, Rock Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Beck; and a sister, Hettie Baker. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie Beck; a daughter and son- in-law, Sharon B. and Ronnie Hickman of Rock Hall; two grandsons, Chuck Hickman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mike Hickman of Lynch; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kylie, Meggan, Jordan and Zachary; and an aunt, Carrie Mae Hepbron of Rock Hall. He was 40. Mr. Buzzard was working as a plumber in the Rehoboth Beach area at the time of his death. He is survived by a daughter, Janis Connor of Georgetown; his parents, Howard Eugene Blizzard Sr. and Joyce Stevenson Blizzard; a sister and brother- in-law, Diana and Leonard Tylecki; and two brothers and two sisters-in-law, William Jeffery Blizzard and Alexis Blizzard, and Ronald Paul Blizzard and Dani Blizzard, all of Rehoboth Beach. Brooks, 96 * OCALA, Fla. - Lucille E. Brooks of Ocala, formerly of Chestertown, Md., died Sunday, June 15, 2003, in Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala. She was 96. Mrs. Brooks was born in Cincinnati, daughter of the late John and Marguerite Erhardt. She received her education in the Cincinnati school system and was a graduate of Miller School of Business. She moved to Jacksonville, where she was employed as a legal secretary for corporation and maritime attorneys. After moving to Washington, D.C., with her husband, she served as administrative assistant to several members of the House of Representatives, joining the staff of the Judiciary Committee as staff assistant to the general counsel. She retired in 1967 after 18 years on Capitol Hill. She and her husband moved to Chestertown in 1968 and she relocated to Florida in 1998. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married in 1934, Rowland Brooks, in 1978; two sisters, Marcella Rugg and Helen Galloway; and a brother, John Erhardt. She is survived by two daughters, Jerrie L. Brooks of Ocala and Dr. Suzanne B. Springs of Denver; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. DuHadaway of Middletown died of complications of pneumonia Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 90. Mrs. DuHadaway was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Volunteer Hose Co. of Middletown, and the Sgt. William Lloyd Nelson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3792 in Middletown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond DuHadaway, in 1977; a daughter, Doris Burge, in 1990; and two sons, Raymond W. DuHadaway Jr. in 1970 and Donald A. DuHadaway in 1996. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce C. and Mary DuHadaway of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bill Craig of Orlando, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Hill of Laurel died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. He was 69. Mr. Hill was born in Laurel, son of the late Herman and Almeda Hastings Hill. He was enlisted in the Delaware Army National Guard from 1958 to 1961. After more than 30 years of service, he retired from the Delaware State Highway Division as an assistant supervisor. Once retired, he worked for Sussex County in engineering for eight years, then worked as a deputy sheriff and captain for the Sussex County Sheriff's Department for four years. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, mainly just to be able to hear the dogs run. Mr. Hill was a member of Shiloh Community Independent Church in Laurel, Laurel Odd Fellows Lodge 27, Laurel Civic Club and Redmen's Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Sharlene D. Hill; two sons and a daughter-in- law, Wayne and Cathy Hill and Bruce Hill, all of Laurel; a granddaughter, Jennifer Hill; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Williams; a sister, Martha Slatcher of Laurel; and two nephews. He was 80. Mr. Hurley was born in Vienna, Md., son of the late Walter J. and Alberta Langfitt Hurley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic at the DuPont Co. in Seaford, retiring in 1975 after 25 years of service. Mr. Hurley was a member of Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel, a lifetime member of American Legion Nanticoke Post 6, Seaford, and a former member of the Vienna and Secretary, Md., volunteer fire departments. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wayne Hurley, in May 1995. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Saunders Hurley; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Ed T. Hurley Jr. and Robin Hurley and Bill and Nancy Hurley, all of Seaford, and Greg and Judi Hurley of Millsboro; a daughter and son-in- law, Connie H. and Ron Lawrance of Millsboro; a sister, Deleima Corkran of Shreveport, La.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Lowe of Milton died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in her home. She was 63. Mrs. Lowe was born in Lewes, daughter of the late Jacob and Beatrice Reynolds Richards. She graduated from Lewes High School in 1959 and received her nursing degree from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1982. She was a registered nurse for many years, retiring as a mental-health nurse several years ago. Mrs. Lowe was a member of White's Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Lowe, in 1997. She was 92. Mrs. Murray was born in Farmville, N.C., daughter of the late Joshua and Julia (Nichols) Wainwright. She worked in shipping and packaging at the Playtex plant in Dover for 20 years, retiring in 1976. She also was a homemaker. She loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens and liked doing needlepoint, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Murray was a member of the Milford Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hildman Murray, in 1973; three brothers, Theodore Wainwright, Bernice Lee Wainwright and Milton Wainwright; and four sisters, Retha Carawan, Gladys Tyson, Mildred Harold and Myrtle Dean Stokes. She graduated from Easton High School, class of 1945. Mrs. Satchell was a homemaker. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed doing genealogy of her family. United Methodist Church, where she served as former chairman of the parish relations, the worship and evangelism committees, and held numerous other positions. She was 64. She had spent a wonderful weekend with her two sons, Robert and Andrew Bedwell, her grandson, Zachary, and her fiancé, Win Abbott, along with other family and friends. She interacted with all, even telling a few jokes. Ms. Soltner was born May 24, 1939, daughter of the late Andrew and Elise Groome. She was raised in Camden, N.J. Ms. Soltner graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1957. She worked for Heather Drugs of Cherry Hill, N.J., for 25 years, leaving as director of operations. She spent the last 10 years at the office of Ed Gill, Attorney at Law, in Georgetown. Ms. Soltner will be sorely missed by her family and all her many friends. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Andrew Bedwell; a brother, Sam Dantonio; a cousin, David Dantonio; an uncle, James Dantonio; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Zachary, Victoria and Jessica; and her fiancé, Win Abbott. Memorial services will be noon Saturday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Long Neck Road in Long Neck.
