*   G. Neale Batchelor, 64

    MILLSBORO - G. Neale Batchelor of Riverdale, near Millsboro, died Friday,
June 13, 2003, in his home. He was 64.
    Mr. Batchelor was retired and had been a self-employed electrician, who
operated W.F. Batchelor '&;' Sons of Millsboro and also was employed by L.D.
Caulk Co. of Milford.
    He was past scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 89 of Millsboro, past director of
the Indian River Yacht Club, a past chief of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co.
and past director and president of Sussex Central Junior High Band Boosters.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa, in 1980.
    He is survived by his wife, Catherine; a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and
Walter McGrellis; an "inher-ited son," Glenn McCandless, and Mr. McCandless'
wife, Donna; two brothers, Norman Batchelor and Richard Batchelor; and two
grandchildren, Paige and Trevor.
    Memorial services will be noon Tuesday in the Long Neck Chapel of Melson
Funeral Services.
    Burial will be private.
    Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the
Salvation Army, 559 E. Du Pont Highway, Millsboro, DE 19966.

*   Jean H. Cranston, 85

    DOVER - Jean H. Cranston of Dover, formerly of Seaford, died of congestive
heart failure Friday, June 13, 2003, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford.
She was 85.
    Mrs. Cranston grew up in Greenwood and graduated from Greenwood High School
in 1935, then from the University of Delaware in 1939.
    She taught home economics in Woodstown, N.J., Greenwood, El Paso, Texas, and
Seaford, and then, worked as Kent County home economist with the Cooperative
Extension of the University of Delaware from 1967 until her retirement in 1982.
    Mrs. Cranston lived in Dover for the past 32 years, attended Christ
Episcopal Church and was a member of the altar guild, was on the Board of
Heritage Trail Inc. and was a guide for the group. She was a former member of
Soroptimist International of Dover, and volunteered with "Adopt a Family" at
Christmas. She also was a member of the American Association of University
Women.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Cranston, in 1973; and
a son, George F. Cranston, in 1966.
    She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law, C. Edward Cranston
Jr. and Donna Cranston, and John A. and Dorothy Cranston, all of Seaford, and
Frank W. and Charlotte Cranston of Dover; three grandchildren, Lindsey J.
Cranston of Greenville, N.C., and J. Alan Cranston Jr. and George F. Cranston,
both of Seaford; and a great-grandson, Isaiah Lowe of Laurel.
    Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front
Street, Seaford.
    Burial will be in St. Luke's Church Cemetery.
    Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Luke's
Episcopal Church, 202 North St., Seaford, DE 19973; or to Christ Episcopal
Church, State and Water streets, Dover, DE 19901.

*   Samuel T. 'Sam' Good Jr., 62

    WILMINGTON - Samuel T. "Sam" Good Jr. of Wilmington died Thursday, June 12,
2003, in his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was 62.
    Mr. Good was a 1958 graduate of Delhaas High School, Bristol Township, Pa.
    He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1964.
    Mr. Good later founded S.T. Good Insurance Inc. of New Castle, Philadelphia
and Stuart, Fla., which he owned and operated the past 25 years with the help of
his wife, children and brother, Dan Good. He truly enjoyed being in business and
the personal relationships he had with all of his customers/friends. He was a
true gentleman in business.
    He was an avid pilot, a boater and a motorcyclist. He lived life to the
fullest, never holding back and with-out regret. A loving husband, father and
grandfather, he had the love and respect of his children and grandchildren and
will be truly missed.
    Mr. Good was a member of the Wilmington Hangar of the Quiet Birdmen.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel T. Good Sr.
    He is survived by his mother, Jane E.; his wife of 40 years, Kathleen C.;
three sons and two daughters-in-law, Samuel T. Good III and Lyn Good of Jensen
Beach, Fla., Jeffrey E. and Pam Good of Middletown and Marc D. Good of
Wilmington; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen T. and Thomas Hartenstine of
Hockessin; four brothers, Randy, Jack, Danny and Ricky; two sisters, Carol Boone
and Janie McCaughey; and seven grandchildren, Samuel T. IV, Danyelle, Casey,
Jeffrey, Jacqueline, Summer and Haley.
    Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Chandler Funeral Home, 2506
Concord Pike, Wilmington.
    Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph on the
Brandywine Catholic Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville.
    Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
    The family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice,
623 W. Newport Pike, Wil-mington, DE 19804; or to the Helen F. Graham Cancer

*   Robert H. McKinnon, 57

    BARCLAY, Md. - Robert H. McKinnon of Barclay died Friday, June 13, 2003, in
his home. He was 57.
    Mr. McKinnon was born in Chester, Pa., son of the late Samuel and Hilda Mae
Breeding McKinnon.
    He was an automobile salesman, working most recently for Colonial Chevrolet-
Buick in Chestertown.
    He was an avid NASCAR fan and traveled up and down the East Coast following
the NASCAR circuit. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed camping and
having the opportunity to meet people and make new friends. He also enjoyed
playing shuffleboard and traveling to different matches throughout the area. His
love for people was evident through his involvement in and organizing of several
benefits for families and people experiencing difficulties in their lives.
    Mr. McKinnon was a former member and past president of Sudlersville Vol.
Fire Co., and a member of Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge, Camden, Del.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan
Price, in 1995; and two sis-ters, Marie Meisinger and Doris Scotton.
    He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joyce Everett McKinnon; a son and
daughter-in-law, Jeff H. and Brandy McKinnon of Middletown, Del.; a daughter and
son-in-law, Robin T. and Michael Rigby of Marydel, Del.; two brothers, Elmer
McKinnon of Woodside, Del., and Frank McKinnon of Marydel; a sister, Mary Biddle
of Lincoln, Del.; and seven grandchildren, Amanda Sapp, Larry Price Jr., Alexis
McKinnon, Taylor McKinnon, Mamie McKinnon, Jeffery McKinnon Jr. and Ryan Rigby.
    Friends and family may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday in Fellows, Helfenhein and
Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington.
    Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
    Burial will be in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville.

*   Wayne L. 'Jimmy' Powell, 59

    WILMINGTON - Wayne L. "Jimmy" Powell of Wilmington died of congestive heart
failure Monday, June 9, 2003, in Wilmington Hospital of Christiana Care,
Wilmington. He was 59.
    Mr. Powell was born Sept. 24, 1943, in Wilmington, son of Lula Mae Powell
Wing of Wilmington and the late Lovest G. Powell.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his ex-wife, Barry Ann Powell;
a son and daughter-in-law, Darian T. Powell Sr. and Eulinda Powell of Virginia
Beach, Va.; his stepfather, Ernest Wing of Wilmington; a sister, Beverly Ann
Venable of Wilmington; three brothers, Larry Hawkins, Steven Hawkins and Carlton
Hawkins, all of Wilmington; an uncle, Howard Hooks of Wilmington; five
grandchildren, Erica Rene Tingle, Phillip T. Powell and Trinity T. Powell, all
of Dover, and Ericka Monet Powell and Darian T. Powell Jr., both of Virginia
Beach.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
    Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in The House of Wright Mortuary, 208 E. 35th
St., Wilmington, where friends may call two hours earlier.
    Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
