Mr. Bradley died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, in Capitol Nursing Home, Dover. He was born in Dover, son of the late James H. Bradley and Mary (Clark) Berry. Mr. Bradley was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a private first class in the 17th Infantry Regiment. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan) during his service. He was a general contractor of custom-built homes in the Dover area, retiring in 1986. Mr. Bradley was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, who raised him, Luther and Lydia Bradley; his father-in-law, Louis John Gosch Sr.; his mother-in-law, Mabel E. Gosch; a brother-in-law, Louis J. Gosch Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Gosch Hanna. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Gosch Bradley; two sons and their wives, Charles L. Bradley Jr. and Brenda Bradley, of Wyoming, and John W. and Rosa Bradley, of Dover; two daughters and their husbands, Shirley Jean and Woodrow Loller of Chestertown, Md., and Bonieta L. Bradley and Randall VanSant of Galena, Md.; a brother, James E. Clark of Dover; a sister-in-law, Hazel Gosch of Hartly; and a granddaughter, Ashley Lucille Loller, of Chestertown. She was born February 26, 1908 in Moosup, to the late Emelien and Zelia Dalbec Dore. She moved from Connecticut to Dover in 1997. She was a homemaker and her heart never left Beach Pond, Voluntown, Conn., where she loved being with her friends and family at picnics at Beach Pond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Bessette, and a sister, Annette Dore Bonnin. Mrs. Bessette is survived by her son and his wife, Ronald and Maria Bessette of Dover; a granddaughter, Dawn Bessette of Dover; two step grandsons, Todd Ramsey of Smyrna and Eric Ramsey of Wilmington, N.C.; three step great- grandchildren; a brother, Laurent Dore of Moosup; four nephews and six nieces, and numerous grandnephews and grandnieces. Mrs. Davis died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in the home of her son. Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 27, 1907, daughter of the late George and Sarah Jane Ames. She was a homemaker for 30 years. Mrs. Davis attended school in Somerset County, Md. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Community Baptist Church in Baltimore. She was a faithful missionary and deaconess, and sang on the Revel Gospel Chorus until her health failed her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Samuel Davis. She is survived by a son, Terry Davis; a devoted and faithful companion, Arlene L. Mr. Harris attended school in Dover and graduated from Dover High School in 1983. He loved basketball and loved to run track. He also loved to cook and lay concrete. He was a very funny person and loved doing crazy and wild things. He was a loving father and friend. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Burton. She was born May 31, 1939, in Salem, N.J., daughter of Lucy Garrett of Hartly and the late Abner B. Hall. Mrs. Hiscox worked for the state of Delaware at Woodburn, the Governor’s House during the DuPont and Castle administrations. She later enjoyed life as a devoted wife and homemaker. She had a great love for her pets, a dog, and five cats. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially crabbing with her husband. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Willie F. Garrett; a brother, George A. Hall; a sister, Shelly Virginia Hart; and her father-in-law, Ernest W. He was born Nov. 24, 1938, son of Lottie R. Green of Felton and the late Kenneth Nelson Legates. Mr. Legates served in the National Guard. He worked for Swift and Delaware-Maryland Railroad for several years, retiring in 2002. He then worked for Seawatch International, Milford. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Benjamin Green; and a brother, Norman Legates. Mr. Mihalko died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Troy, N.Y., son of Michael and Anastasia Prokov Mihalko. Mr. Mihalko settled in Delaware after retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1974, with 22 years of service. He was a non-commissioned officer in charge of supply, stationed at Dover Air Force Base. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also worked for the Herr’s Potato Chip Company. Mr. Mihalko was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1903 and the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post No. 2. He enjoyed fishing, sail boating and going to the horse races. He is survived by a son, Michael Mihalko of Dover; a daughter Lisa Mihalko of Wilmington; two sisters, Lois Schemal and Mary Halse, both of Watervliet, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and a member of the Magnolia Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Moore, on Nov. 17, 1974; and two brothers, Alfred Miller and Henry Miller. The Rev. John W. Davis officiated. Mrs. Newman died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth Coyle Blair. Mrs. Newman was a great cook and developed her talent into a successful catering business. She owned and operated the Fairfield Deli in Fairfield, N.J., for many years, until her retirement and move to Delaware. Mrs. Newman took great pride in her Scottish ancestry and belonged to the Clan Blair Society. She had many talents and hobbies, including arts and crafts such as quilting, knitting, sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, basket weaving and ceramics. Mrs. Newman had a love for animals, especially dogs. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and adoring grandmother. Throughout her life she was always an enthusiastic supporter of her husband’s coaching activities and family sporting events. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack Newman; her son, John Newman of Wyoming; her daughter, Debbie Post of Hackettstown, N.J.; her brother, Raymond A. Blair Jr. of Gibsonia, Pa.; six grandchildren, Leigh Ann Newman, Stacy Newman and Blair Newman, all of Wyoming, Matthew Post of New York City, and Melissa and Kyle Post, both of Hackettstown. Mrs. Pleasanton died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003. She was born Dec. 24, 1899, in Smyrna, daughter of the late William and Mary Corby. She lived most of her life in Dover and had worked for Richardson and Robbins in Dover for 47 years. She had been a resident on the Cape Coral/Fort Myers, Fla., area since 1992, and a resident of Camden, Maine for approximately 10 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Pleasanton, and her two daughters, Mabel M. Wright and Earlene Kleinschmidt. She is survived by six grandchildren, Joanne Fitzcharles and her husband, Jim of Cape Coral; Richard Donahue and his wife, Doris of Millsboro; Kay Biddle and her husband, Rodney of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Ernest Rash of Marydel; and Linda and Diann of Hammond, Ind.; two step-grandchildren, J. Mrs. Robinson died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, in the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore. She was born April 30, 1935, in Middleford, near Seaford, daughter of the late Horace and Susie Carrey Clark. She worked in the Smyrna area as a professional seamstress for many years and most recently worked as a food demonstrator for Sam’s Club in Dover. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed selling Mary Kay products, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Durham. She is survived by her husband, Gene Robinson; two sons, Ronald A. Satrape, 78, of Dover were held Tuesday, Jan. 21, in Holy Cross Church, Dover. Mrs. Satrape died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, in her home, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Satrape was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Grand-Mere, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Henri and Emma Marcotte Sansfacon. Her sunny outlook and intelligence helped her achieve a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Laval University. She had worked as a registered nurse until her marriage in 1958 to Paul Satrape, at which time the couple moved to Dover. She then gave herself generously in the service of life, giving birth to six children in nine years. Mrs. Satrape exemplified patience, humility, fairness, thoughtfulness, courage, hard work, faith, hope and, above all, charity. She shared her love of the natural law by promoting breast-feeding, natural family planning, natural childbirth, alternative medicine, reduction of waste through recycling and organic gardening, and showed a respect for all of God’s creation, especially human life from conception to death. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, John L. Satrape, and two brothers, Jean Sansfacon and Andre Sansfacon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lilian M. and Allison Rogers and Annette C. Satrape, all of Dover, and Evelyn and Art Webster of Guam; two sons, Henry B. Satrape and Philip Satrape, both of Dover.
