Carlisle of Clayton; a daughter and son-in- law, Sally S. and Frank Celatka of Clayton, and three grandchildren, Erica, Danielle and Gabrielle Celatka, all of Clayton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He most recently worked as a customer service representative with Fleet Bank in Newark. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Mariann M. Conley. Jr. Died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at age 85, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a captain. He worked for Prudence Insurance Co., retiring as a sales manager after 31 years of service. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Sarah Haddaway Cowgill. He attended William Henry High School in Dover. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was employed for 26 years at the Delaware Correctional Center in Smyrna. Survived by her husband of 52 years, George Gage. She was an administrative assistant to the medical director at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna, for 25 years. Survived by her husband, Gerald K. Heinold Sr. Locally survived by three brothers, Walter Jarman of Kenton, Bill Jarman of Dover and Kline Jarman of Hartly; and two sisters, Edith Rash of Dover and Myrtle McClements of Kenton. Died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at age 83, in her daughter’s residence in Rehoboth Beach. She was a homemaker and had owned and operated Ingram’s Boats for 30 years in the Slaughter Neck area. Died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at age 87, in the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Denton. She worked in the Denton and Federalsburg garment factories as a floor supervisor. Locally survived by a sister, Louise Sapp of Dover. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Wayside Church of Christ in Christian Union, Md. Route 404 and Greenwood Road, east of Denton, where friends may call one hour earlier. Died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at age 88, in Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, Va. She was a secretary for the Marvel Agency in the 1960s and 70s. She enjoyed embroidery, collecting hummingbird and crystal figurines, and reading. Locally survived by a sister, Betty Houchins of Dover. Services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, Minquadale. --------------------------------------------------------------- * O’Bryan, Thomas Vincent Died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at age 58, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, moving to Delaware in 1980 after 23 years of service. After retirement, he worked at the Delaware Agricultural Museum as a maintenance technician for seven years. Locally survived by a son, Vincent “Toby” O’Bryan and his wife, Nina of Dover. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Soukup, William J. ‘Bill’ Sr. Died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at age 76, in the Franciscan Healthcare Center, Hockessin. He grew up in New York City, was an accomplished trumpet player, and led the Bill Soukup Band. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, after which he was the proprietor of the South Bay Music Store. Locally survived by a daughter, Kathleen Reitzes of Dover. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in St. John Catholic Church, East Main Street, Newark.
