He was 59. Mr. Bull was born April 4, 1943, in Painter, Va., son of the late Daisy Bull and Willie George. He received his education at the Millsboro Elementary School and continued it at the William C. Jason Comprehensive High School in Georgetown, Del. He furthered his education at the Everett Community College in Everett. He was employed by Metropolitan Bus Transit in Washington, D.C. and Metropolitan Bus Transit in Everett. Mr. Bull's Christian walk began in Millsboro at St. Luke Baptist Church. There, he received salvation and the baptism in the Holy Ghost. After moving to Seattle, he transferred his membership to Calvary Baptist Church in Everett. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Maupin of Seattle; two stepdaughters of Seattle; a very devoted friend, Susan Graham of Seattle; a sister and brother- in-law, Helen and Linwood "Duke" Wise of Millsboro; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Willie J. and Frances Bull of Upper Marlboro, Md., Johnny and Annie George of Millsboro and Harry B. George of Bronx, N.Y.; an uncle, Robert Bull of Millsboro; a special cousin, Arthur Bull of Dover, Del.; a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews and great- great-nieces; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be noon Thursday in St. John's Baptist Church, Mount Joy, Del., near Millsboro. The Rev. Annie J. Custis will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Arrnagments by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Isaiah 'Ike' Freeman Jr., 77 DOVER - Isaiah "Ike" Freeman Jr. of Dover died Friday, April 4, 2003. He was 77. Mr. Freeman was born Feb. 18, 1926, in Darby, Pa., son of the late Isaiah Sr. and Lola Freeman. He attended Darby public schools until drafted into the U.S. Army. After his tour of duty, Mr. Freeman returned to complete his secondary education and graduated from William Henry High School in Dover in 1961. He was married in 1952 and resided in Dover. Mr. Freeman worked as an aircraft aerial port employee at Dover Air Force Base. Later, he worked for the city of Dover as a sanitation engineer. He then worked for the Capital School District for 30 years as a custodian and mail courier, retiring in 1986. Mr. Freeman was a 32nd-degree Mason and he joined Union Missionary Baptist Church in 1992. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Elizabeth Freeman; a son, Isaiah Freeman III of Seaford; a daughter-in-law, Angela Y. Freeman of Seaford; a sister, Elaine Williams of Darby, Pa.; a brother-in-law, James Williams, Sr.; eight grandchildren, Isaiah Freeman IV, Christopher James Freeman, Stephen Michael Freeman, Jonathan David Freeman, Chavonne Renee Freeman, Caitlin Jerica Freeman, Joshua Daniel Freeman and Alexa Trinity Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Pilgrim Baptist Church, Camden, where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will be in Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Bear. Arrangements by Minus Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Florence Mary Goldsborough, 89 SAN ANTONIO - Florence Mary Goldsborough of San Antonio, formerly of Dover, died March 23, 2003 in Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio. She was 89. Mrs. Goldsborough was born Feb. 20, 1914 in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of the late Harry Charles Warren and Florence Cooper Warren. She was a longtime resident of the Air Force Village I. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Campbell Goldsborough. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jean and Craig Spence of San Antonio, Texas and Judith A. and Fred Sublette of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; a son, William C. Goldsborough Jr. of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Craig H. Spence Jr. and wife Jennifer, Michael B. Spence, Douglas W. Spence, Frederick W. Sublette, Jr. and wife Christine, Becky Iannantuono and Beth Steward and husband; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Air Force Village I Main Chapel. He was 52. Mr. Luzier was born in Salisbury, Md., son of the late Occran Glen and Barbara Jane Donaway Luzier. He was employed by Mountaire as a personal computer manager in the information technology department. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharyn Ann Luzier; three children, Colby Glen Luzier and Tara Lynn Parkhurst, both at home and Michael Steven Parkhurst of Milford; and a grandson, Keith Roger Benton. She was 94. Mrs. McNeill was born in Red Springs, N.C., daughter of the late Isaiah and Minnie Leech. She was formerly employed in housekeeping at several hotels in Ocean City, Md., and as a private-duty nurse. Mrs. McNeill was a member of Soul Saving Center in the Coverdale Crossroads area of Bridgeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James McNeill Sr., in 1972; five sons; a daughter; and two grandchildren. She is survived by four daughters, the Rev. Elbertha Gray, Martha Bell and Mable Stuart, all of Bridgeville; and the Rev. Mary Smith of Dunn, N.C.; five sons, Isaac McNeill and Daniel McNeill, the Rev. Alan McNeill of Benson, N.C., Joseph McNeill of Dover and James McNeill Jr. of Garner, N.C.; 26 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; four sons-in-law; three daughters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. Milton Russell Vowels, 75 DOVER - Retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Milton Russell Vowels of Dover died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in Perry Point Veterans Health Care System, Perry Point, Md. He was 75. Chief Master Sgt. Vowels was born in Warrenton, Va., son of the late Milton and Lucille Russell Vowels. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland and a master of arts degree in counseling from the University of Delaware. Chief Master Sgt. Vowels was a World War II veteran, joining the U.S. Navy in 1944. He subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and served his country in the Korean conflict and in many other tours of duty, including those to Japan, the Philippines and Thailand. He retired from the Air Force in 1978, having attained the rank of chief master sergeant. Upon retirement from the military, he was a counselor at Kent County Counseling Services and at Child Inc. Chief Master Sgt. Vowels was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Dover, the Modern Maturity Center, the Dover Lions Club and the American Legion. He also served as commissioner for Kent County Parks and Recreation until his illness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve Minor. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy A. Foster Vowels; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan A. Vowels of Hartly and Karen Vowels and Patrick Earle of Milwaukee; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert C. and Mary Margaret Vowels of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Susan Foster Earle, Grace Elizabeth Earle, Jane Ellen Earle and Robert Russell Earle, all of Milwaukee; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, especially his dear friends at the Modern Maturity Center. Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Presbyterian Church of Dover, 54 S. State St., Dover. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
