Claggett, 76 FREDERICA - Donald S. Claggett of Frederica died Friday, April 25, 2003, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He was 76. Mr. Claggett was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Baltimore, son of the late Percy and Hester Peregoy Claggett. He served in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force and in the Merchant Marines. He worked as a warehouse man for Lever Bros. Mr. Claggett was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3065 in Baltimore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Elwood Claggett and Clifford Mark Claggett. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ellyn Kenney Claggett of Frederica; two sons, John S. Claggett of Spotsylvania, Va. and Donald A. Claggett of Bowers Beach; two stepsons, Larry Miller of Baltimore and Mickey Miller of Ocean City, Md.; a daughter, Rhonda Dare of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, Johnny Claggett of Virginia, Amy Marple of Magnolia, Darcie Taylor of Tazewell, Va., James T. Dare, Mark Ian Dare, Corney Dare, Keriann Dare, all of Magnolia; and two great- grandchildren, Michael D. Taylor of Tazewell and Johnny Claggett of Virginia. He was 95. Mr. Fitzgerald was born in 1907, one of 13 children of John and Kate (Groman) Fitzgerald. He owned and operated successful businesses in Delaware during his life, including Fitzgerald's Mobile Gas Station and the Fitzgerald Burner Service. In later years, he opened the New and Used Furniture Outlet in Townsend. He also recycled metal and glass, and he held annual sparerib barbecues for charity. Mr. Fitzgerald was an active member and past governor of the New Castle Loyal Order of the Moose. Until the age of 90, he participated in and completed the annual MS Walk-A-Thons. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen (Szymanski) Fitzgerald; a sister, Sarah Steinhauer of Pottstown, Pa.; seven children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Richard Dilworth of Norristown, Pa., Grace Fitzgerald of Eagleville, Pa., Patricia Beckley of Harbeson, John Fitzgerald of Long Neck, Nancy and David Clark of Newark, Fay Anderson of Middletown, and Deborah Rich of Greenwood; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren. Herring, 78 NEWARK - Agnes M. Herring of Newark died Friday, April 24, 2003, in the Christiana Care Center. She was 78. Mrs. Herring was a homemaker. He was 26. Mr. Hogan was born in Mount Holly, son of Debbie Hogan of Shamong, N.J. and Timothy Hogan Sr. of Medford, N.J. He was employed as an auto body painter with the Complete Auto Body Shop in Seaford and has done this type of work all of his life. He enjoyed restoring cars and car racing. Mr. Hogan was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Laurel. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Michele Parker Hogan; a son, Parker Thomas Hogan, and a child on the way; a brother, Timothy A. Hogan Jr. of Shamong; his paternal grandmother, Ursula Hogan; his mother-in-law and her companion, Sue Parker and Shreve Marshall of Burlington Township, N.J.; his father-in-law, Edward Parker and his wife, Julie, of Hammonton, N.J.; two brothers-in-law, Joshua and Timothy Parker; a sister-in-law, Ashley Parker; two grandmothers-in-law, Laura Parker and Wanda Nolan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was 68. Mrs. Sutton was born in Baltimore, daughter of the late Charles Pippin and Ethel Greenwood Pippin. She worked as a cashier for the A'&;'P Grocery Store in Chestertown for 21 years before her health forced her to retire. She enjoyed crocheting, country music and occasional bus trips. She was an avid Cal Ripkin Jr. fan. Mrs. Sutton attended the St. Paul's Episcopal Church near Chestertown and participated in a weekly prayer group. She is survived by her husband, William Henry Sutton Sr., whom she married on Jan. 9, 1954; a daughter, Kathy Sue Sutton and her companion, Jerry Everett of Chestertown; two sons, Steve and Ginnie Sutton of Concord, N.C. and Bill Sutton Jr. of San Diego, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Amanda Lynn and Eric Ross Sutton, all of Concord. She was 46. Mrs. Woodyard was born in Frankford, daughter of George Empty of Jamaica and the late Clydie Mae Brooks Empty. She was an U.S. Postal service employee in Upper Marlboro, retiring in 1994 due to disability. Mrs. Woodyard was a member of the Woodstream Church in Largo and the Victory Baptist Church in Selbyville, Del. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Stephen H. Woodyard III; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen H. IV and Nikki Woodyard of Fort Bragg, N.C. and Xavier G.
