George, 69 CAMDEN - Janice Y. George of Camden died Friday, April 18, 2003, in University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. She was 69. Mrs. George was born in Thompsonville, daughter of the late William L. Beebe and Emma Lofland Paden. She worked in the production Department of Playtex Family Products, Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 1999. Mrs. George was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Jarrell. She is survived by three sons, Wayne George of Milford, Charles "Terry" George and wife Jacqueline of Milford and Gregory L. George of Magnolia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Y. and John Kitchen of Dover and Jan R. and Joseph M. Johnson of Englewood, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mariah A. Gebhart and husband Eric, Jody M. George and Joseph T. George; and a sister, Phyllis A. Pepper of New Castle. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will be in Barratts Chapel, Frederica. --------------------------------------------------------------- * Thomas Gerald Skain Jr., 42 FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Thomas Gerald Skain Jr. of Franklin Township died Sunday, May 26, 1996, in San Mateo, Calif. He had been missing since March of 1996. Because of the absence of identification, he had been listed as a "John Doe" until a recent match was made from a nationwide missing persons report that was filed two years ago. He was 42 at the time of his death. Mr. Skain was born Jan. 3, 1954, in New Jersey, son of the late Thomas Gerald Sr. and Caroline Borden (Heirs) Skain. He is survived by two daughters, Carly Skain of Glassboro and Rebecca Lee Burg of Westmont; his widow, Denise Skain of Franklinville; four sisters, Majorie Harmon of Dover, Del., Colleen Boyd of Barto, Pa., Caroline Martin of Mantua and Cheryl Skain of Woodbury Heights; an aunt and uncle, Larry and Helga Skain; three grandchildren, four nephews, five nieces and several cousins and in-laws. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Red Bank Battlefield on Hessian Avenue in National Park. A light luncheon will follow.
