Elige V. Smith April 10, 1963 McCrory Leader

Elige V. Smith, age 85, of McCrory, died in Searcy (White County)
hospital Monday April 8. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and 
had lived in McCroy for about 70 years.

Survivors include four sons, Jim and Tommy Smith of McCrory, Claude 
Smith of Little Rock and Luther Smith of Hammond Ind., 21 grandchildren 
and 27 great-grand children.

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in the
Thompson-Wilson Funeral Chapel, Rev G.D. Garrett, pastor of Pumpkin 
Bend Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Pumpkin Bend Cemetery.

Pallbearers, Grandsons of Mr. Smith, were Tommy Smith, Lamon Smith,
Lamoine Smith, Bobby Smith, Ted Smith and Sonny Smith.
