Born at Onia, Arkansas December 5, 1903, she was a homemaker and a member of Fifty Six Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, Jordan Jason; four sons, Noel Jason and George Jason both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Johnie Jason and J.E. Jason both of Fifty Six, Arkansas; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Brannon of Frankston, Texas; Mrs. Ilene McConnell of Fifty Six, Arkansas; Miss Bertie Jason of Mountain View, Arkansas; Mrs. Lorene Campbell of Marshall, Arkansas, four brothers, John Balentine of Jerseyville, Illinois; Eddie Balentine of Mountain Home, Arkansas; William Balentine and Jesse Balentine both of Fifty Six, Arkansas; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Shipman and Mrs. Stella Zinn both of Fifty Six, Arkansas; Mrs. Claudia Gammill of Timbo, Arkansas; Mrs. Audie Branscum of Okemah, Oklahoma; one half sister, Mrs. Nellie Smith of Fifty Six, Arkansas; twenty two grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. Funeral service was 2 P.M. Friday at Fifty Six Baptist Church with Rev. Thurman Gower and Rev. Ludene Hudspeth officiating. Burial was in Spoon Flat Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home. Pallbearers were R.C. Alexander, Hubert Hampton, Ed Cartwright, Charles Lee Brown, Horace Hudspeth and Junior Lee Deatherage. Obituary: JORDAN E.JASON, age 92, of Fifty Six died February 9, 1996. He was born March 1, 1903 at Red Doors, was a retired farmer, timber worker and a Baptist. His parents, Ervon and Jenny Parks Jason; wife, Ina Mae Balentine Jason; son, Johnie Jason; two half sisters, Allie and Ethel; a half brother, George Welch and a great great grandson preceded him in death. Survivors are three sons, Noel Jason of Mountain Home, George Jason of Mountain View, J.E. Jason of Fifty Six; four daughters Pauline Brannon and Bertie Sterling, both of Mountain View, Ilene McConnell of Fifty Six, Lorene Campbell of Morning Star; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Funeral service was 2 P.M. Monday, February 12 at Fifty Six Baptist Church with Dr. R.T. Rorie officiating. Music was by Fifty Six Church Choir. Burial was in Spoonflat Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View. Pallbearers were grandsons, Dennis Brannon, Bill Jason, Charles Jason, Clint Jason, Lanny McConnell and Kenny Brannon. Honorary pallbearers were son-in-laws, F.O. Brannon, Connie Campbell, Bill Sterling and Wallace McConnell. OBITUARY: JOHNIE ODIS JASON, age 65, of Fifty Six, Arkansas died March 13, 1993 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born at Fifty Six, Arkansas, January 29, 1928 and was a farmer and a Baptist. His wife, Betty McConnell Jason and mother Ina Balentine Jason preceded him in death. Survivors are three sons, Bill Jason, Tommy Jason and Johnny Jason all of Fifty Six, Arkansas; a daughter, Janice Smith of Prim, Arkansas; father, Jurdon Jason of Fifty six, Arkansas; three brothers, Noel Jason of Mtn. Home, Ark., George Jason of Mtn. View, Ark., J.E. Jason of Fifty Six, Ark., four sisters, Pauline Brannon and Bertie Sterling both of Mtn. View, Ark., Ilene McConnell of Fifty Six, Ark., Lorene Campbell of Morning Star, Ark., eight grandchildren, Chris Jason, Tammie Jason, Brady Smith, Dane Smith, Kelley Jason, Jennifer Jason, John Robert Jason, and Derek Jason. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday, March 15 at Fifty Six Baptist Church, with Bro. Charlie Lee officiating. Burial in Spoon Flat Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home. Pallbearers were, Chris Jason, Silas Balentine, Ronnie Anderson, Paul D. Balentine, Kevin Cartwright and Sonny Balentine. Honorary Pallbearers were, Merlin Shipman and Ed Cartwright.
