Beal, 81, died Thursday morning at her home, 220 West L Street, following a several weeks illness. Formerly of the Pisgah community near Pottsville, where her husband was a planter for more than 50 years. Mrs. Beal came to Russellville five years ago and was living with her daughter, Mrs. Pansy Beal Chronister. A native of Little Rock, Mrs. Beal was formerly Miss Margaret Pauline Diehl, daughter of the late John and Rebecca Diehl. She was married December 24, 1886 to Mr. Beal, of the Gumlog community. Three children survive and are Mrs. Chronister of Russellville, Mrs. Mae Beal Loveless of Little Rock, and Miss Edna Beal of Washington, D. C.; two brothers, Charles Diehl of Memphis, Tenn., and John Diehl of Little Rock; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. One of the grandchildren, Sgt. A. G. Chronister is with the United States armed forces, at Fort Flagler, Wash. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 at the Baptist Cemetery at Center Valley, five miles east of Russellville, with the Rev. C. T. Bryson, paster of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian church at Pottsville, officiating. Gardner-Pate will direct. Pallbearers will be R. B. Hays, I. C. Burgess, H. D. Coffee, Joe Hamilton, John West, and John Pryor. .
