Hill was a farmer and a Baptist. Survivors are his parents, Frankie Wayne and Mary (Pearrow) Hill of Demopolis, Ala., two sisters, Rebecca and Mary Ellen Hill, both of Demopolis; three brothers, John and Paul Hill, both of Demopolis, and James Hill of Snow Lake (Desha County); and his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James Pearrow of Snow Lake. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Citizen's Funeral Home in West Helena. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Allen, 76, of West Helena died at his home Saturday, June 29, 1996. He was a truck driver with Arkansas Transport, a veteran of World War II, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He leaves his wife, Mary of West Helena; two sons, Kenneth Allen of Shamrock, TX, and Dwight Allen of Killeen, TX; one son who proceeded him in death; also two stepsons of West Helena, Gary and Chris Sherman; two stepdaughters, Samanatha Sherman of West Helena, and Michelle Morgan of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Edward Allen of Helena, and Miles Allen of CA; three sisters, Vernie Coleman of Brinkley, Elizabeth Smith of Pine Bluff, and Mary Felkin of Dover; two half brothers, Cecil Henson of CA, and Doug Allen of McGhee; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services was held today in Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O.S. Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Pallbearers will be Andy Kelly, Robert Allen, Larry Allen, Billy Allen, Jay Buford, and Chris Ford. Honorary pallbearers include: Andy Morgan, Joe Sherman, and Dale Sherman. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home is in charge of services.
