Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Clements, 76, died Sunday at his residence in Lexa. He was a native of Modock, a retired farmer, and a member of the Barton Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WW II, having served as a Navy fighter pilot aboard the USS Monterrey and was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was also a former member of the Barton School Board and a former member of the Federal Land Bank Board. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Juanita S. Clements of Lexa; a daughter, Mrs. Kay C. She was a native of Plummerville, was a member of the first class to graduate from LittleRock's Central High School in 1932, and was employed several years at the Ark. Democrat. She moved to Dallas and, after her marriage to the late George Ferguson, of Longview, Texas. She was a retired employee of the Electrolux Corp., a member of the United Methodist Church in Longview, amember of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Longview Senior Citizens Club. nephews. HAZEL L. GRIMES Graveside service for Mrs. Hazel Louise Burch Grimes of Port Lavaca, Texas, formerly of West Helena will be conducted today (Saturday) at 2:30 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery. The Rev. Cornelia DeLee will officiate. The services will be under direction of Roller -Citizens Funeral Home. Mrs. Grimes, 100, died March 4 in Port Lavaca. She was a native of Sylvia, Tennessee, having been born there on May 23, 1898. She was a retired nurse and had worked at the Helena Hospital and in the Memorial Medical center in Port Lavaca. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and one of the last surviving widows of the Spanish-American War. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Dallas of Bella Vista; Mrs. Frances Atkinson of Hampton, New Jersey, and Mrs. Hazel Whitehead of Vicksburg, Mississippi; a son, W. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. Mrs. Henson, 85, died Tuesday at Monette Manor in Monette, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a native of Missouri. Survivors include a son, C. W. Mrs. McCurley, 76, died Tuesday at Prairie Healthcare Center in Hazen. She was a retired grocery store owner, a native of Tennessee, and member of the Monroe Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Brumley of Memphis; two stepsons, Lowell MCurley of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Calvin McCurley of Holly Grove; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Linda Glover of Conway; and 12 grandchildren.
