He was a life long resident of Nevada County and a charter member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He served 30 years as Justice of the Peace of Albany township in Nevada County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Jane Snell; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Franks, Shreveport, La., three sons Veron B. Snell, Oklahoma City, Okla., Otto M. Snell, Los Angeles, Calif. and Joseph C. Snell of Ardmore, Okla., nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 11 at 2:30 p.m. at Harmony Church by Rev. Wesley Lindsay. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery by Cornish Mortuary. ************************************************************************
