H. Davis, died at 10:07 p.m. Sunday at her home, Rt. 1, Texarkana Ark. after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Davis, mother of ex-sheriff W. E. Davis, was born in Miller County, March 10, 1878. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, W. E. Floyd and Clarence Davis, one daughter, Mrs. W. T. Carrol; two brothers, John I. Giles and Marlin R. Giles; six grand-children, Mrs. Charles Hedgecock, Franklin Davis, Gene Davis, Carroll Davis, and Lynn A. Davis, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Williams officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ralph Hale. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tom C. Sewell. Tilmon Johnson, Herman Burke, Rich Braswell, Ernest Goodson and Archie Munn. The body will be taken to the family residence at 3 p.m. Monday to remain until funeral time. ************************************************************************
