He promptly enlisted when the Civil war came serving with distinction throughout the entire period, and returning to Miller County at its close. He is a member of the A. P. Hill Camp, United Confederate Veterans. He is survived by his wife. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock at the Harmony church, Rev. John Winham, of Fort Worth officiating.
