Moody, aged 25 years, who departed this life on the 15th of July 1858, at her residence near Huntsville, Arkansas. The deceased was the wife of John Wm. Moody a respectable citizen of our county; daughter of our old and much esteemed friend John C. Long. Mrs. Moody was in the bloom of youth, surrounded by friends and prospects of future happiness. Mortals however, no matter what their health - happiness or station in life, are creatures of death. Fourteen or fifteen days under the ravages of typhoid fever complicated with flux, sealed her fate on earth. Her friends, however, have the consoling gratification to know that she had the constant attention of the physician of her choice and every possible aid which the constant presence of her affectionate husband, tender mother and devoted brothers and sisters could afford. Though death has claimed and removed our friend, as the victim of his revages, his triumph is but short, by faith in the blood of a Redeemer she smiles at the ravages of death. ,,,, Mrs. Moody was an affectinate wife, a kind and worthy lady in society and will be lamented by many friends. She leaves two tender babes. written by D. L. Saunders
