All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Milton Lawson 19 Aug 1954 Madison County Record Retired Farmer, Milton Lawson, Dies August 13 Milton Lawson, 79, a retired farmer, died at the home of his son, L. V. Lawson of Wesley, Friday, August 13. Mr. Lawson was born in Casey County, KY May 17, 1875, the son of Robin Lawson and Nancy Stanphill Lawson . At the age of nine the family moved to Madison county, Ark., where he spent the remainder of his life. Early in life he dedicated his life to Christ and was a devoted Christian. He is survived by the following children; Effie Dorsey, Huntsville, S. V. Lawson, Summersville, Mo.; Emma Stamps, Corona, Calif.; Nancy Ann Watson, Wesley; Melvin Lawson, Santa Ana, Calif.; L. V. Lawson, Wesley; Inez Watkins, Brea, Calif.; Adell Richardson, Lansing, Mich.; Geneva Eubanks, Lansing, Mich.; Lida Beason, and Reba Moren both of Wichita, Kans.; Doris Thomas and Curtis Lawson, both of Huntsville. One son, Eulis Lawson, died in April 1944. Other survivors are 33 grand children; 33 great-grandchildren and a brother, P. H. Lawson of Wesley. Funeral services were held at Bohannan August 15 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Sheridan Johnson and Bro. Joe S. Bonagle conducting the services. Burial was in the Bohannon Cemetery with the Brashears Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Lavon Watson, Ervin Emmett, Eugene Holloway, Fred Lawson, Luther Bennett and Orval Dorsey. Madison County Record, 19 Aug 1954
